Prayers

Chuck had some more tests ran yesterday and doctors are almost positive that he had a stroke in his brain stem and not Guillain-Barre syndrome. For now they don't know how much of a recovery he will make because there was a fair amount of damage. He still has some swelling on his spine, so they are hopeful that when that goes down he will regain some of the feeling in his body. Chuck is still not able to breathe on his own and is paralyzed from the neck down, but he has some feeling in his arm and chest.
Please, keep the prayers coming. Chuck, Loni, and their boys need all that they can get right now. Someone posted a comment on the post below this one last night. It is a great reminder that you have to stay positive and believe that God is always there with you.

  2. Chuck and family, just want you to know that our family and our church are praying for you. Praying for healing and comfort for you. Just remember you serve an Awesome God who can do Awesome things. This is not a surprise to Him. He did not bring you here to leave you. It does not make sense to us why... but you are not alone.

I was just listening to a song called "Blessings" by Laura Story and it made me think of you. It says...
    We pray for blessings
    We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things

'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

    We pray for wisdom
    Your voice to hear
And we cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt Your goodness, we doubt Your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we'd have faith to believe

Chuck, please know so many people are praying for you. You are such a strong person that I am confident that you are going to have a big testimony to share.
